Does the CCPA’s toll-free number requirement seem like a burden? That’s why we built the toll-free number tool. With one simple signup, you can have access to a CCPA 800 number connected to our dashboard and privacy request alert system. Operators are not standing by—the CCPA provides 45 days to respond to requests, so there’s no need to staff a call center to process requests in real time. Demo the consumer experience by calling from within the United States 1-866-I-OPT-OUT (1-866-467-8688) and entering Service Code 924#.
We provision access to our shared CCPA phone number as soon as you create your free-trial account, so you can check off this requirement fast. You can also obtain a dedicated toll-free number from us, usually within one business day.
As shown in the call flowchart, our hotline handles miskeyed menu choices, timeouts and the ability to erases and re-record voicemails before submission.
Customizing Your Greeting
While our default greeting works for most clients, we provide additional greeting scripts and recorded greetings that you can use by uploading one to the Greetings tab of our dashboard and associating it with the applicable Service Code (here’s our setup video). For enterprise plan subscribers, we’ll record a custom greeting for you in our vocal booth in the same voice as our other menu prompts at no extra charge. Dedicated Number: Menu Customization
When you choose our dedicated number option, you unlock additional configuration choices:
The simplest option: when a consumer calls your dedicated number, they will hear the greeting associated with the Service Code (Menu Option) that’s set as active before being prompted to record their message. Consumers won’t need to make any menu choices, and will hear our default greeting unless you add a custom one.
The middle option: when a consumer calls your dedicated number, a synthesized voice prompts them to select from among your active Services Codes (Menu Options). After selecting a Menu Option, they will hear the greeting associated with that Menu Option before being prompted to record their message. For this setup, you should record and upload custom greetings for at least to Services Codes (Menu Options).
Full customization option: when a consumer calls your dedicated number, they will hear a Menu Greeting, which should prompt consumers to enter a Menu Option. After selecting the Menu Option, they will hear the greeting associated with their Menu Option before being prompted to record their message. For this setup, you should record and upload a Menu Greeting plus custom greetings for at least to Services Codes (Menu Options).
